People have been out of hibernation long enough now to plan their summer vacations. The million-dollar question I have to repeatedly answer is: “So, are you going on any trips this year?” Of course, I don’t have anything planned except an overnight stay in Atlantic City to see comedian Louis C.K. on Labor Day weekend. Believe me, I’m grateful for the opportunity, but do I wish I had some exotic getaway awaiting me? Yes.
Still, this comes up in every conversation I have with friends—especially if it’s one of those “I haven’t seen you in five months, so tell me how exciting your life is right now” type of discussions. The responses usually go something like this:
- I’m going to Italy for a week and I’ll get to see beautiful architecture, eat amazing food and “be one” with the locals.
- I rented a shore house for two weeks. I can’t wait to do nothing but relax on the beach and have a few drinks, followed by more relaxing!
- I can’t wait for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. I’ll take in the beautiful scenery and check off every awesome activity on my itinerary—maybe I’ll even get to jump into a volcano if I’m lucky. (Hmm.)
Whether you’re going across states or across countries, you might as well forget about your plans if you don’t bring your wallet. No cash? No credit or debit cards? No vacation. Check out some of the latest fashion trends in wallets below:
